A heartwarming bedtime story with no artwork. The author had a strong sense of mood — gentle, magical, calming — but no idea how to brief an illustrator or keep the characters consistent across pages.
What we did
We built character designs first, agreed a soft, watercolour-inspired style with the author, then illustrated each spread to carry the story's rhythm. Every page was checked for age-appropriate detail and print-safe colour so the finished book felt cohesive from cover to last page.
The result
A picture book whose art does as much storytelling as its words — the kind a child asks for again the next night.
